n’s hockey program recognized its four Division 1 seniors, Maddie Wolsmann, Allison Lariviere, Amelia Schroeder, and Julia Lutz on Sunday, February 16 as part of its annual senior celebration, and five Division 2 seniors Lauren Larson, Erin Panter, Danielle Williams, Allyson Conley and Alex Paquette on Saturday, February 8.
This year’s Division senior class has posted a career record of 63-32-3 from 2016-17 to 2019-20. The seniors have assisted with tallying 464 goals in four years, while allowing 237 in their careers.
#3 Maddie Wolsmann | Forward | Maple Grove, Minnesota
Maddie Wolsmann has played in 87 games for the Spartans, recording 188 career points** with 87 goals and 101 assists. A left-handed forward from Minnesota, Wolsmann was named an alternate captain for the 2018-19 season, and appointed to captain for her senior season. She had a career-high 63 points in her sophomore year, and also won the Zoe Harris ACHA MVP award that season (2017-18). Wolsmann has led the Division 1 Spartans in points all four years of her career, as well led the nation in assists for her sophomore season, and led the ACHA nation in points during her senior season. Throughout her career she has collected various awards. In her freshman season, Wolsmann has been selected as an 1st Team CCWHA All-Tournament member the past three years (2017-2019), 1st team CCWHA All-Season member for her sophomore and junior years (2017-18, 2018-19), was the CCWHA Season MVP for the 2017-18 season, was selected to the 2nd All-Tournament Team for the ACHA National Tournament in 2019, and has been an ACHA 1st Team All-American for the past three years. In addition to those awards, Wolsmann has also been selected as a member of the U.S. National University Team that competed in the World University Games in her freshman (2017) and junior (2019) years, winning the bronze medal in 2017, and during the 2019 games she was chosen as both the team captain and the flag bearer for the United States at the opening ceremonies. The four year Spartan holds the number two spot for career points, is 2nd in all-time career goals, 1st in career assists, while also holding the 8th slot in scoring in a single season (26, 17-18), 3rd in points in a single season (63, 17-18), and 1st in assists in a single season (37, 17-18).Wolsmann is the daughter of Michele and Chad Wolsmann, and graduates with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
#10 Allison Lariviere | Forward | Walled Lake, Michigan
Allison Lariviere has played in 95 games as a Spartan. Lariviere has a career high 10 points (3g, 7a) her freshman season, and has 32 total career points** (14g, 18a). Lariviere was appointed as an alternate captain for the 2019-2020 season, her first as a captain. A right-handed forward from Michigan, she is the daughter of Mark and Rita Lariviere and graduates with a degree in Human Biology.
#17 Amelia Schroeder | Defense
Amelia Schroeder has played in 93 games during her career with Michigan State, scoring 8 goals and adding 15 assists for 23 career points**. She recorded a career-high eight points with one goal and seven assists this season as a senior. Schroeder is the daughter of Chris and Suzie Schroeder and graduates with a degree in Human Biology.
#24 Julia Lutz | Forward | Livonia, Michigan
Julia Lutz began her Michigan State career at the start of the 2018-19 season, and would go on to tally a career total of 77 points** (46g, 31a) in 40 games played. The right-handed forward had a career high point season this current senior season, registering 42 points (27g, 15a) thus far. Lutz sits at No. 6 in the Spartan record books for career points, is 5th for career goals scored, 12th for career assists, is 7th in goals in a single season (27, 19-20) and is 7th in points for a single season (42, 19-20). Lutz was named alternate captain this season, her first as a member of the captain squad. The two year senior is the daughter of Ed and Linda Lutz and will graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
#2 Erin Panter | Forward | East Lansing, Michigan
Erin Panter began her Michigan State career tallying 10 points (4g, 6a) and finishes her career with 34 points** (13, 21a) in 63 total games. The right-handed forward sits at 11th in career points for the Michigan State program. The four year senior is the daughter of Alan and Mari Panter and graduates with a degree in Marketing.
#13 Allyson Conley | Forward | Gladwin, Michigan
Allyson Conley has played in 64 games as a Spartan. Conley has a career high seven points (2g, 5a) her freshman season, and has 17 total career points** (14g, 18a). A left-handed forward from Michigan, she is the daughter of Jon and Kelly Conley and graduates with a degree in Biochemistry.
