The Michigan State University Division 1 Women’s Hockey team has their second member grab Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association’s Star of the Month honors.
Savina Osann has been selected as the CCHWA’s second star for the month of November, 2021. The junior netminder
picked up three wins in all three games they dressed for. In the early November game against Concordia University, Osann entered play to begin the third period and stopped all ten shots faced to hold onto the win. They would also pick up wins against Aquinas College (4-2) and Grand Valley State University (4-3) to move to a 5-0. A total of 34 shots were blocked by Osann among the 39 faced in the final two November games.
During the 2021-2022 season the Spartan goalie has allowed 10 goals in their five games in net, and has a .893 save percentage thus far.
The Spartans return to the ice in the new year in a two game home-and-away series against fellow CCWHA member Adrian College January 15th and 16th.
